Testing The Free Clicks Booster

As you’re aware, your adstrong CSS comes with a unique advantage – the Free Clicks Booster. This feature ensures that products of your CSS’s Merchant Centers dominate your CSS landing pages. These are the pages reached via the “By CSS” link at the bottom of your Shopping Ads.

The Free Clicks Booster generates between 1 and 3% additional free traffic from Google Shopping for our clients. Utilizing another CSS would not only result in losing this traffic but it would most likely send it to the product inventory of competitors.

Due to Google Policy, the Free Clicks Booster is only active for “real” traffic from the “By CSS” link in Shopping Ads. If you want to see how your CSS sites look without clicking a “By CSS” link in your ads, add this URL parameter to your CSS site domain: “us=google&um=css”, e.g. https://shopping.domain.com?us=google&um=css.

IMPORTANT: This is only required for manual testing to see how the search result pages look without clicking on your “By CSS” link. You don’t need to change the URLs of your campaigns in any regard.

Note that the products on your CSS page are indexed every night. Therefore, with new Merchant Centers or new products in your CSS, it may take up to 24 hours for the products to be discoverable on the CSS page.
